My husband was recently hospitalized with mrsa I am scheduled for neck surgery in 2 weeks should I be worried? by Andrew | Surgery on the Back or Neck | 3 comments MRSA is a staff infection. 3 Comments freaki1225 on December 8, 2007 at 2:23 am Get tested for it. The hospital will most likely draw blood before the surgery to make sure your healthy aside from what evers wrong with your neck. But it wouldn’t hurt to make sure before hand. Even if he isn’t better, it still wouldn’t be a problem as long as you don’t rub your open wound on his infected site. Overall, you might want to mention it to your surgeon if hubby still has it then (for RX purpose)….
