Get tested for it. The hospital will most likely draw blood before the surgery to make sure your healthy aside from what evers wrong with your neck. But it wouldn’t hurt to make sure before hand.

Make sure you tell the hospital when you go for your surgery, so they will test you.

If he is better now, than you have nothing to worry about. Even if he isn’t better, it still wouldn’t be a problem as long as you don’t rub your open wound on his infected site. Overall, you might want to mention it to your surgeon if hubby still has it then (for RX purpose)….
