I was in a car wreck at no fault of my own. I lost my left kidney and had neck surgery on c-4 and 5 where they replaced my bone and at c-6 and 7 where my dics was crushed so they rebuilt this bone when they found out during surgery. The company that is responsible is a big car dealership. How much money would you think I should get in damages. At this point my medical bills are over 100,000.00. Thanks
Sorry i don’t know exactly but I would imagine some attorney would take this pro bono.
Also, I don’t think you will ever have to work again
Dude lay in bed don`t do anything you have a broken neck.
it all depends, some states set limits on personal injury cases.find a “hit and run” lawyer to take your case.I’m actually surprised they haven’t been pounding on your door,or visited you in the hospital already, they are the bottom feeders of the law profession and have NO cooth at all.The insurance co should cover your medical expenses, unless you were at fault for the accident, then you wont get shit.A court will decide who gets what.
You have to look at the future cost of these disabilities. What level of recovery are you at. What deterioration of health can you expect. No insurance company will ever insure you and no employer offering insurance will hire you. These are the expenses if it were only the initial loss you could come up with a figure. You have so many life long variables. Look at worse case scenario, long term kidney failure, extended unemployment, assisted living, All these are tremendous cost. Adaptive equipment as the damage to your spine cause health degeneration and physical capability.
For instance arthritis sets in and untreated causes lack of exercise Lack of exercise causes weight gain weight gain causes joints and organs to stress and fail.
You probably need an attorney..Get references if you do…My husband had lots of injuries due to his accident involving an 18 wheeler and he died from injuries 27 days later. I was contacted by this attorney, advertised on T.V. and heard all his successes but later found out that he wanted me to do all the leg running and doing (had no earthly knowledge) of what I was doing. Found out from his side of the family, an attorney and I went with him. It takes a long time, it was nearly three years before I agreed to settlement. It wears you down, physically and emotionally. You are on a roller coaster ride all the time, even with a good attorney. With your injuries you do need an attorney. Most states (claims representatives) have a formula that takes in everything, past, present and future earnings, your doctor bills, hospital bills, medications, and most of all keep records of your mileage to and from doctors, physical therapy, not limited to your family and friends that helped you out, postage that you have to pay when sending in stuff to your lawyer. Good Luck
